He’s still there...just differently.

Some folks like to make it seem like they feel God in some big dramatic way...every day. Let me tell you this. I talk to God EVERY day...and I don’t always get the “rambunctious” response...in fact most times I don’t...but I’m learning that that might be a sign of God trying to mature me.

If you think about it in the natural sense, the older you get, the less “involved” parents seem to be....and it’s not really “less” involvement but a different type of involvement. I imagine with God, it’s very similar.

God may seem far away but in all actuality he’s close...very close. We may not understand why He chooses to do certain things and refrain from doing others, but we can trust what He’s already said...and he already made it clear that He’ll never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Subsequently, we can still trust that even when He SEEMS far away, he’s right there.

I’m reminded of David and Jesus. Both of them felt forsaken at one point in time (Psalms 22:1; Matt 27:46), but ultimately those feelings turned out to be false. A few chapters after “feeling” far away from God, David hops back and reminds us that the righteous are never forsaken (Psalms 37:25). In Jesus’ case, one moment He was forsaken but the next He was sitting at the right hand of God (Luke 22:69). Not only that...but Jesus was God in the flesh...if you think about it...how could God leave Himself?🤔

I believe in both of those instances God never left. He never withdrew His involvement, instead...He changed His involvement. One moment He was loud & rambunctious...but the next...He was quiet. Still there...but different....and different NOT in essence☝🏾, but in “presentation,”(for the lack of a better word🥴).

Yeah.

God will never leave or forsake us, but his involvement...more specifically HOW he is involved will change...and it’s all in an effort to grow you, to perfect you....(1 Peter 5:10 KJV, Philippians 1:6 Amplified)
